A Look at BCIT Burnaby Campus and Its Neighbourhood

Guichon Creek
SE6, Burnaby Campus
This portion of Still Creek runs through the BCIT campus and was a popular fishing spot in the 1900s. After being urbanized and then restored in 2006, Guichon Creek remains a perfect place to take a nature stroll while staying on campus.

Habitat Pub
SE2, Burnaby Campus, 1st Floor
A perfect spot to relax, recharge, and socialize between classes. With tasty pub food, games, and a casual vibe, it’s an ideal place for students and staff to unwind, catch up with friends, or take a break from studying.
JJ Bean on Hastings
4299 Hastings St
If you’re looking for a place to grab a boost of energy or simply looking for a cute spot to study, JJ bean on Hastings is the perfect fit.
They offer a wide selection of specialty coffees and teas. Whether you like to stick with the classic espresso or try something new such as their signature fresca medici, they have something fit for everyone.
Its modern layout adorned with blue tiles, graceful arches, and velvet benches, gives a calm and clean feel to the atmosphere—perfect for those who love a good coffee and a minimalist aesthetic.

Just along Willingdon Avenue, this is a great spot to sit down, relax, and catch up on schoolwork while enjoying a variety of drinks and special desserts. Many people have chosen this as their go-to study spot, so expect to find fellow students during peak hours.

Salmon Wave

A good spot to enjoy lunch or sneak in some reading between classes. Equipped with microwaves, the latest issues of Link magazine, and other Student Association materials. Spacious, accessible, and great for larger groups.
