Derek Jiaming Fu is from Heilongjiang; a province in NorthEast China. He came to Canada to further his studies at BCIT in the Digital Design and Development program. Some of his true passions involve photography, art and music. He has noticed so much more about his surroundings since he started taking pictures. Light, colour and shapes that were always present but never really noticed before are now so much more vivid. Capturing the beauty of this world and having the opportunity to present it in his own way is what truly drives Derek’s passion for photography. Spending time alone taking photos makes it so easy for him to release tension and stress and just enjoy. Derek’s specialty thus far has been of landscapes, people and live theatrical productions.
