BCITSA Student Executive
2017/2018 Elections
Congratulations to the winners of this year’s BCITSA student elections. The newly elected student executives will serve a term from June 1st, 2017 – May 31st, 2018. For more information on BCITSA student governance visit www.bcitsa.ca
Why are you seeking election?
I am seeking election because I have always had an interest in politics and working with the government. I studied Political Science for three years in Ottawa and volunteered for the local elected MP. I don’t want to leave BCIT with a piece of paper telling me that I’m certified to perform a task, I want to leave BCIT having created a positive impact on the student body and school itself.
What do you hope to achieve during your term in office?
During my term in office I would like to continue the efforts of the past Business Chair on improving the set-rep program. Mainly, I want to find a way to utilize the talent that we have gathered from each set to try and help improve the school of business. I would also like the business clubs on campus to have a better relationship with each other and be more inclusive of all. We have such a great line-up of different clubs such as Enactus, JDC West, the MA, APICS, MPI, FMA and others that all hold events that are beneficial to the entire business school body.
