The Students Association’s Health and Wellness program is organizing the first free outdoor yoga event for students. There is no need to sign up beforehand and students don’t even need a yoga mat. Just show up wearing comfortable clothing and enjoy.
The class will be held on the track field at Burnaby campus on September 16, from 3:00-4:00pm. It will be open to all BCIT students.
“Make sure to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the class begins,” recommends Hannah Bielert, the program coordinator.
Students who attend the class will get a half-off coupon for a drop-in class at Moksha Yoga studio in Burnaby. Students who sign in for a month at the studio right after the class will also get $10 dollars off Moksha’s Intro month.
Bielert says she is hoping for 25-30 students to attend. And as for the usually rainy weather in Vancouver goes, Bielert says it won’t stop the class, it would just be moved to the activity room in SE16.
