BCIT student (and chef, entrepreneur, graphic designer, marketer and macaron king), Max Huang, was travelling through Malaysia during the summer before school started again. He shared with us some beautiful street, landscape and food photos he took during his time in Southeast Asia.  Follow Max Huang on Instagram @itsmaxhuang for more food photography, shenanigans and travel pics.

Why do you take photos?

I take photos because its another outlet for creativity, much like writing, graphic design and cooking; it’s an art.

What is your favourite thing to photograph?

My favourite things to photograph are food and portraits. I love the reaction of people when I send them photos I took of them, and they thank me for making them look good!

What is your dream thing/place/person/event to photograph and why?

In Vancouver, I would love to photograph food events like the “Where to Dine Awards”, “Vancouver Magazine Awards” or “Brewery At The Beast”.

Maddy Adams is the Publications Assistant for LINK Magazine- and as well a wedding, portrait and candid photographer based in Vancouver. She enjoys experimenting with different cameras, lenses and mediums. Whether she has a DSLR or cellphone in hand, she is always taking photos and waiting to capture a perfect moment. She sees the world in colours, shapes and patterns.
