The winners for the 20th annual Burnaby Business Excellence Awards (BBEA) were announced last evening at the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards Gala. The City of Burnaby event hosted 350 business, community and political leaders.
The BBEA recognizes businesses, entrepreneurs and not-for-profits for their business success, innovation, community involvement, and environmental sustainability.
This year’s awards were hosted at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, which was also recognized at the awards gala as the 2019 inductee into the Burnaby Business Hall of Fame, the 17th business to receive the distinction.
Taking home the Business of the Year award was HUB International Insurance Brokers. HUB International has grown to be the largest insurance broker in Canada, employing 300 employees in its Burnaby head office alone.
