Meeting Professionals International (MPI)

MPI stands for Meeting Professionals International. While the name may confuse you, we are an inclusive and ambitious club with engaged members in 19 countries. MPI currently takes the lead in the Meetings and Events category with a community of 60,000 members globally.  MPI strives to connect industries and create lasting relationships.

MPI is a unique club that connects with industries through Familiarization tours. Though the industries we connect with through our Familiarization tours are mainly Tourism related, we welcome all students at BCIT regardless of your option. MPI is beneficial to everyone due to the hands-on, and key networking opportunities. We take pride in the events we host because we believe there is no better way to learn than asking questions to potential employers, and competitors.

MPI invites all those with a passion and dedication to strive in their industry. We plan to capture your attention this year with our amazing events that will, in turn, create job, learning, and networking opportunities. We hope to see you at the MPI events this year!

BCIT Financial Management Association

The BCIT Financial Management Association (FMA) is BCIT’s official Accounting Club. The FMA is committed to bridging the gap between accounting students and employers, by hosting a variety of professional networking events throughout the year.

In addition, the FMA offers all BCIT accounting students the tools to develop their soft and technical skills through CPA information sessions and resume building clinics, as well volunteer opportunities such as the annual FMA Tax Clinic which is certified by the Canada Revenue Agency.

We highly recommend all accounting students to follow the FMA’s Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as join the mailing list through our website. Our social media channels are very resourceful, as they are the main line of communication we have, to notify students of all important dates for events, application deadlines, workshops or any other opportunities available to them.
