Hey students! Looking to try something new? Or maybe looking to relax one more time before tackling the finals week? Then I’ve got something for you.
Ki Tea House Café in collaboration with Anime Revolution’s Tokimeki Maid Café will be holding a maid café event!
But, what is a maid café? Maid cafés are a popular type of café originating from Japan, where waitresses dress up in maid uniforms, roleplay as maids, and treat guests as masters of the house instead of treating them as regular patrons. Customers are welcome to interact with the maids in the café through various activities such as conversing and playing games. It’s a very social event for men and women of all ages where you are encouraged to actively participate to get the full experience.
The event is hosted by Ki Tea House Café, a manga (Japanese graphic novel) café that offers various manga to add to your café experience, and Anime Revolution, an anime convention group that holds a convention every year here in Vancouver. Tokimeki Maid Café is a maid group hosted by Anime Revolution, and will be the maids participating for this event.
If you’re looking to get a taste of a different café culture but Japan is too far, look no further. The maid café event will be held in Ki Tea House Café on Saturday, November 26, from 11:30am to 7:00pm, and is located in 105-6888 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby.
See you there!
