Well BCIT, this is it—our final issue of the 2013/2014 school year. It’s been one heck of a ride since we re-launched in September with our bold new magazine format, and we’re so grateful to everybody that have picked up issues, cruised our website, or thumbed through our Instagram feed all year long. Thanks to all the amazing students out there creating and sharing so much great art, ideas, opinions, news and more, without whom we’d have no magazine to publish. Who knew BCIT had so much culture?!
Extra big thanks to our amazing editors Neetu Garcha and Olsy Sorokina, who will be leaving us after this issue, off to bigger and better things. We couldn’t possibly have made such an engaging publication if not for their keen sense of what’s happening in the student community and their ability to connect with all the talented writers and photographers we have floating around campus. And of course, it’s likely you’ve only picked this thing up one or two times based solely on the eye-catching graphic design work of Matt Landels.
So please, grab a copy of the new issue, share it with your friends, and don’t be shy to tell us what you think by visiting our Facebook Fan Page, Tweeting at us, or tagging us on Instagram. And don’t forget to stay connected with the BCIT student culture all summer long by visiting this website. We’ll be back with a hot new issue in September, but until then, visit us online and feel free to keep writing in with your great submission ideas. Good luck with your finals and have a great summer.
